It's amazing how a country we entered 2 months earlier felt so foreign at the time, and now feels so incredibly developed and, for a lack of a better word, civilized. We welcomed the presence of infrastructure such as maintained roads, sidewalks, and street signs as well as dependable transportation and internet. Compared to Bangkok, however, Chaing Mai has a more laid back feeling and is a beautiful mixture of modern structures punctuated with ornate temples. It also was home to the best night market we ever came across!

While in Chaing Mai, we got traditional style Thai tattoos which entails using a bamboo rod with a needle in the end which the artist taps repeatedly into your skin... don't worry, it was all sanitary!

While on a 12 hour layover in Icheon, South Korea we learned that they offer free city tours to travelers with layovers. Of course, we signed up! Best layover ever... kamsahamnida, Seoul! (thank you, Seoul)
